Job Description

The consultant's duties include:
• Troubleshooting EDI issues and recommending solutions
• Translating business needs into EDI designs for customers
• Configuring and testing EDI partners within SAP
• Supporting SAP customers with EDI enhancements and optimizations
• Delivering projects on time and within budget
• Helping customers optimize EDI software through training and guidance
• Pursuing professional development to better serve customer needs

For entry-level hires into this position, CONTAX provides initial training and mentoring to build core SAP business, technical, and EDI knowledge.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000/year

Requirements

The requirements for this position are as follows:
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, such as U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Residency (or planned residency) within the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin by the anticipated start date.
• Daily in-person attendance at the office, with the possibility of select remote working days.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Familiarity with EDI and ANSI X12 or EDIFACT standards
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, C++, etc.
• Experience with business software applications like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor, NetSuite, or Infor
• Knowledge of business processes including manufacturing, sales, distribution, or accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related Business field
• Strong documentation skills
• Self-motivated and proactive mindset
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and solution design capabilities
• Keen interest in understanding, designing, and enhancing business processes
