Find out if running SAP on AWS is right for your business

If your organization is considering a move into the public cloud, it is important to understand what exactly that will entail. When migrating mission-critical workloads such as SAP, it's imperative that your business has a full picture of how that move will effect your business in both the short and long term.

There is no charge for this assessment and there is no commitment to proceed after it has completed.

There are any number of reasons to explore moving SAP workloads into the AWS cloud. Whether your goal is to reduce cost, simplify your SAP landscape, or retire technical debt, this assessment can help you reach those goals. If your business would like to position itself for the future by beginning the journey to S/4HANA, this assessment can outline how best to achieve that end.

CONTAX will work with your team to understand your current SAP environment and business priorities. We'll use that information along with our SAP and AWS expertise to compile an assessment of the business and financial impacts that will accompany a migration onto AWS.

Your team needs to commit only a few hours to share your needs and goals, and again when the assessment is delivered.

1 - Kickoff Workshop

Prior to the workshop, CONTAX will send a questionnaire for you to fill out. This will help us understand what information needs to be covered in the workshop. The purpose of this workshop is for CONTAX to understand your needs and goals, and to make sure that the resulting assessment is aligned with those goals.

Workshop Topics

  • SAP journey
    • S/4HANA Roadmap
    • Simplification opportunities, retiring legacy systems
  • Business challenges
    • Disaster Recovery / High Availability

2 - Assessment Preparation

This is typically 2 weeks. CONTAX takes information from the workshop, and begins compiling an assessment and recommendation.

CONTAX is typically given access to the legacy SAP environment or an IT contact is made available to CONTAX in order to give the assessment team the visibility we need to plan the future state.

3 - Assessment Review Session

CONTAX will schedule a 1-2hr session in order to review the assessment document with your team and field any questions that you may have.

This assessment includes:

  • Estimated Total Cost of Ownership
  • Suggestions based on your identified business challenges and opportunities
  • Outline of next steps
